I Created Social Media Ads for a Startup.

Hey there! For the next 30 days, I will be creating marketing material for a startup called In Stock to expand their customer base and build new business partnerships. Below, you’ll find the ads I created. To explore my entire project, click here.

Targeting

With In Stock being a shopping website, their customer base is really anyone with internet access. In creating these ads, I wanted to have a few different approaches. Everyone has different things that trigger them to take action. Here’s what I came up with:

Pulling at the Heartstrings

My goal for this ad was to appeal to the moms, dads, and anyone who has a family to take care of. The global pandemic has changed the way we live life and family safety has never been more important. That’s why I chose the image of the family together, safe at home, gather around the laptop. The color scheme is soft and inviting. I really wanted the ad to give off a warm, cozy, loving feel while allowing the In Stock logo to stand out.

The copy I wrote is short and sweet. The text at the top is appealing to the reader’s needs, and the text at the bottom provides a quick and easy solution.

Making It Easy

This is the ad for the doers. The bright colors and the mouse click effect demand attention. The text at the top is meant to make the reader feel like they’re only steps away from getting the job done.

I chose the grocery store image because I wanted the audience to think about the grocery store experience and what it involves — getting up, leaving home, driving to the store, pushing that bulky shopping cart with the squeaky wheels through the endless number of aisles, and waiting in those long, slow-moving lines.

Basically, the background is the problem, and the In Stock logo is the solution.

Fast and Accurate

This ad is for the people like me who love fast delivery. The colors are keeping with the In Stock theme and make the logo stand out. The video background gives the effect that the products they desire are already on the way.

The text is clear and concise and affirms to the audience that In Stock is capable of fulfilling their immediate needs.

The ad’s overall theme is “click here to get what you want fast.”

The Easy Read

This ad is for the people who like it simple. The still image is simple and keeps with our In Stock theme again. The yellow at the bottom adds an eye-catching effect to stand out from the blue tones.

The text is meant to be factual and punchy. I kept the older audience in mind with this one. It’s clear what the ad is about and it is meant to look user friendly.

To Sum it Up…

These ads are meant to cover a wide age-range audience and appeal to different motives for using In Stock. Everyone from 18–80 years old could easily understand what service In Stock provides and can see how it would be beneficial for them to use.
