How I Created Facebook Ads for Truebill

I can admit I am terrible at managing my money. Being a single mom, I often feel like I am constantly running around doing everything and I can’t tell up from down. All I know is I need what I need when I need it. And doesn’t everyone?

Instant gratification drives many of our spending habits. We see what we want, and we swipe our cards. Free trials? Yes, please! Extra channels or only $10 a month? Sign me up!

The problem is we forget about these purchases. And before you know it, your bank account is near zero and you don’t understand what happened.

Truebill hits its users with a hard wake-up call. On the app, users can easily track their spending habits from multiple accounts. You’ll get alerts when your close to going over-budget and receive tips on how to save.

Kind of like your mom tracking your purchases, but less naggy.

Truebill will also help manage all of those subscriptions you forgot you signed up for. Yes, there are tons of them. The app even helps you negotiate what you pay for your current bills by cutting out the services you don’t use.

Brand Marketing Ad

Goal: Inform the audience of Truebill’s value

Audience: ages 23+

One place to track all of your spendings.

Link your accounts to Truebill and let us help you find ways to save.

Manage subscriptions, set goals, negotiate to lower bills, and more.

In this ad, I felt it was important to keep it short, simple, and informative. The image showcases the brand without getting too detailed. The copy tells the audience what the app does and how it does it. I’ll be adding a “Learn More” link that will direct the audience to Truebill’s webpage.

Showcasing Ad

Goal: Provide specific examples of Truebill at work

Audience: 23+ (target college grads, new homeowners, newlyweds, new job update)

Finances getting out of hand?

Truebill helps you get it all together.

Swipe to learn about how we can help.

This ad is more attractive to people who are getting their first place or making a big move. Most people get overwhelmed during these times with a million things going on at once and often mismanage their money in this stage. This ad acts as a reminder and highlights specific ways to help. A “Download Now” link will be added and will redirect the audience to the App Store/Google Play store.

Credibility Ad

Goal: Provide the audience with credibility by displaying reviews

Audience: 23+

We’ve helped our customers save over $14 million!

See what our fans have to say and join in on the savings.

I wanted to use this ad to make the audience feel like they’re being left out. The dollar amount tells people Truebill is already out there saving people money, and the second line tells them there’s an ongoing conversation happening that they’re missing out on. The “Learn More” link directs the audience to the Truebill Twitter page in which they use for reviews.

Marketing Truebill through these ads would increase website traffic, generate new leads, and overall increase profit. I really enjoyed getting to know this company. If you haven’t heard of them before I’d definitely encourage you to check them out!
